Not very happy at all with the service received today by “awa” I believe that was her name, a representative and face of Specsavers opticians,
I just walked in to enquire about switching over my opticians to specsavers and am still in complete shock at the lack of interest, care or attentiveness of this worker, AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS.
I would have thought that switching over to specsavers would be in the companies best interest, I was met with complete disinterest and the feeling that I was wasting they’re time.
I understand it’s a busy location but that shouldn’t mean terrible service and I can’t understand how management allow people like that to work a floor?

(Buyers beware, avoid this place) untrained staff, that will make multiple errors that will make you do the run around for months to get your glasses, Cheap tacky looking glasses that are way overpriced that come apart easily due to weak adhesive bond and you wont get a replacement through their warranty, and they will literally tell you to buy a new pair as an alternative option, as most complaints will go through the manager Linda, that puts the same amount of care into her diet as she does with her customer service, she will go out of her way to try and not keep customer satisfaction as a priority, as shes the type to ring a bell for someone to get her a diet coke from the fridge, backed up by her enabling goons the spineless directors and blind specialist, main reason why this branch has low rating, remember to bribe her with a happy meal if you want anything sorted as she won’t be very pleased and look miserable when you have a problem

On my first visit I was approached with great customer service, The appointments were running on time, Special thanks to Optometrist #AISHWARYA, who performed my Eye test, She is very Knowledgeable, Calm and Composed. The team were friendly and chatty, It's really wonderful experience.

Cancelled my appointment without telling me. Worth avoiding if you can.

I had a voicemail the day before my ear appointment telling me that it had been moved to the next day. I called to say that might not work for me and could we try to move it. The person on the phone said that was fine and someone would call me shortly to rearrange it, but since no one called I assumed I still had that appointment. Turns out they'd cancelled it and no one ever called to rearrange. I traveled all the way there but they'd already replaced my appointment with someone else. Absolute waste of time, poor communication between staff there. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the person I spoke to on the phone to tell me they'd cancelled the appointment.

The audiologist who explained what had happened was very kind about it but that doesn't give me my time back.

I don’t normally write reviews but this specsavers are life savers!

A massive thank you to Ruby, the lovely lady who tested my eyes, recommended me a decently-priced product as I had an eye infection for over a year. Unlike everything else I tried, this one worked straight away, it’s unbelievable. I cannot thank her enough.

Another mention to the store manager Linda who was incredibly helpful and patient with assisting in choosing the right glasses for me. Finding suited glasses is never easy. The customer service there was a delight and everyone made me feel very welcome.

The only problem I’d raise is when the screws on my previous glasses had come apart the store weren’t able to fix it. Though the store was closing by that point. Nonetheless the staff from this Specsavers gave me a great experience - I had to write a review.

Visit for routine eye test. Started on-time. The Pre-test clearly explained and carried out competently. Main test clearly explained, comprehensive and a comfortable experience. Post test and new lens purchase process straight forward with no sales pressure. Everything met or exceeded my expectations.

I an excellent experience at specsavers this morning. I came in concerned about a relatively rapid change to my vision and two members of staff were incredibly helpful - a lady directed me to a lovely Northern Irish gentleman who couldn't be more professional and reassuring. I managed to get a same day appointment for later this afternoon. Thanks for your help - getting a same day appt has given me peace of mind and I really appreciate the care and consideration shown to me today.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Went in for a contact lens appointment, paid for my first visit and was told I needed to come in for a second visit and that they'll contact me via text / email to set up an appointment. Never heard from them.

Went in a second time to ask what was going on and was told to sit and wait. Waited for 20 minutes only to be told that the person who deals with this isn't in and that I will receive a text / email later day. Never heard from them.

I'm going to try to get a refund for this wasted initial appointment but doubt I'll get very far. If you want to save time and money, please avoid this location.

After usual 2 years time window, I decided to upgrade my glasses with the Specsavers. I have been provided an excellent service by the store manager Miss Linda, for which I profoundly give her 5 stars. She has excellent customer service skills and is very expert in her work. I will say that most of the staff is helpful and professional and could be relied on with full confidence.

Pretty incompetent Lensmail service.

I went for an eye test and contact lens check a few months ago as part of Lensmail subscription. The in-store service was fine.

However it has now been months and I still keep getting my old contact lens prescription sent, despite being told in store that my prescription will be updated via lensmail.
Have used the online contact service, who informs me that someone from the store will contact me. As far as I can see, there has been no attempt to contact me.
I have now received another pack of contact lenses that are of the old prescription.

I don’t understand. Why bother asking me to have an eye test, when specsavers then can’t be bothered to update my lens subscription?

ADDITION:
I have contacted using the online form previously, and the local store did not get back in touch with me to resolve the issue.

Muslim woman & south asian man. Both so disrespectful. They think they are in a high school movie, all sat chatting around & getting paid to do nothing but talk. She had attitude and was so disrespectful that I am shocked. Not sure how she is employed

I have never experienced the longest waiting for anything. We have been here over 2 hours and still waiting. People that came half an hour after us are being seen. It’s a mess at Stratford branch. Never coming back here again.

Last time I left review I was very critical but now, after my recent visit, I must say it was very positive. I was seen in prompt manner. The examination was, I felt, very thorough and professional. The two ladies who helped with glass selection were very helpful and friendly. My only criticism would be for the lady who took details on entrance. No please or thank you or any friendliness.

I liked this branch being a Specsavers customer for many years. But this was a big disappointment as my glasses were broken and I needed a fresh eye test. The store was in shambles. Partly I can understand with staff shortages but businesses are investigating less in people but more on technology. I abandoned my visit and went somewhere else.

Arnie, the lab manager did a great job. I asked to reglaze my rimless glasses with a different lens shape. I was very particular about what I wanted and Arnie took time to listen and took the necessary measurements. My new glasses are great, thank you!

I really hate this optical shop so much!
my glasses are loose so I went to the store and asked the clerk to help me tighten the screws but she didn't want to help and then I asked if I could lend me a screwdriver and she didn't wanna lend me!
If you are not willing to serve people, why are you looking for this job? So weird

Especially the staffs of the specsavers store in other places are willing to help! As far as your female staff are unwilling to help! Why?

My partner paid £90 for her contact lenses and it took them 5 weeks to get them to her. They lost her order twice and the service is a complete shambles. It's hard working in customer service but I would recommend going elsewhere.

Possibly the worst service an eye care centre can provide. Please avoid this store if you are thinking of joining. I’m a monthly lens customer and this month I have not received my lenses due to my contact lens test not being in date. However, this is untrue as I went out of my way and had this appointment in December in order to avoid this, the people at the store forgot to update it on the system. I’ve tried calling their number for over a week the automated response is ‘we are busy dealing with other customers’ no matter what time of the day you call. I wear lenses everyday and currently have none. Ironically this has happened to me a couple of years before. If you’re thinking of joining Specsavers find another store!

Very poor experience, so impersonal. No one ever picks up the telephone and could not find any decent glass frames. So disappointing, in last 30 yrs of buying glasses have never had issues picking a frame but options were terrible. Chose instead to have lenses fitted into old frames. Too expensive and not a nice customer experience. Will not be coming here again.

I had ear wax removed by suctioning today and was a little nervous, as I'd not had the procedure done before. Booking was easy and everything was explained clearly. The procedure was unhurried and the technician was very patient and gentle, particularly with my narrow ear canals. I was able to get it completed in one session, which surprised me. Happy to return when necessary.

Im very disappointed i have been trying to contact them for over 2 weeks in regards to booking a 2nd contact lenses appt but with no success.the one time I did get through, I was told that my contacts have arrived and someone from the Contact team will call me back to arrange the 2nd appt but still haven't heard nothing.their phones rings and just go to voicemail, which I have left but still no one called me back. I started this process on the 3/12 because I am travelling soon and my first appt with them was really nice and I have never had an issues with them before, but since then there has been no updates and even when you try to chase them, there is no response.

It is ok when you are there, but is impossible to book an appointment over the phone because no one picks it up or they have a voice message saying they are looking after customers that no one is free to pick it up.
It is bad. I need to travel to book an appointment.

There is no opperator council in Newham, this store has been an issue for some time, I'd expect bad news all round. Bad news for the franchise. Nothing like the regular customer service due to management blies.

I was told to collect my glasses on Friday 31/12/21 2: 30 pm and I live very far from here and it's the nearest specsavers to me. I went to collect my glasses and they said its not ready and that they called me. No one called me between 9 am to 2.30. The customer service is terrible. I also saw this happen to a gentlemen and he had the same problem as me.

Really great service from the staff. Despite mixing up my appointment dates, they were able to fit me in as a walk-in. The optician who checked out my eyesight was very friendly and thorough and I was satisfied with the glasses I picked out

Staff are very friendly and Polite. Brenda especially, helped me book a appointment over the phone and you can tell she was very honest, friendly and caring about the customers. The staff made me feel welcomed and had a great laugh. Who would've thought an optician will have such vibrant & energetic workers. Would definitely recommend this specsavers to new customers

The most inefficient and incapable shop I've encountered. It took FOUR visits to the store just to have a standard eye and contact lense test! The first visit after waiting for 30 mins I was told they couldn't test me that day because there was nobody to do my contact lense test. The fourth visit, I was promised would take 5 mins to do my lense trial test and set up payment. The test took 2mins and then I waited 45mins to set up the trial. Overbooked and disorganised.

Staff who checked my eyes for my lenses was lovely shame can't say the same about the staff who was happy to take my money but be miserable in serving me no thank you at all or even a hello. Its been almost 2 weeks and I still haven't received my lenses nor have they bothered to call to inform me. I've called twice and kept being told they don't know when as they is a backlog

Staff even though friendly does not acknowledge or apologise for keeping customers waiting. Arrived 20 minutes early for appointment. Was seen within 10mins for 1st assessment and then waited nearly 40 minutes in waiting room for actual eye test. Then when I have chosen the spectacles and was seated to place my order another member of staff asked the colleague who was taking my measurements for help with their customer and then went and served them before coming back and continuing with me after nearly 10 minutes waiting. No apologies for the interruption.

Lovely staff. Great opticians who thoroughly check eyes. Sales staff are caring and establish your needs rather than just selling. From the start of my appointment to paying for my glasses everything was a pleasant experience. The advice I received felt specific and tailored to me rather than being perfunctory. I highly recommend this branch of specsavers.

We have been going to this specsavers for over 10 years recently their customer service has gone downhill, staff can be rude esp since we have been loyal to this branch. They do not explain things properly and then when you go to collect your glasses they say only one has been made and you will get the 2nd pair 2 weeks later.and if you ask why that is they say we always do that whereas we have been going there for years and we know its not true. They always seem to be in a rush these days. They need to improve communication and remember us as customers are paying them sometimes £200-£300 so least they can do is spend some time and check if we are happy with the product and service.

Telephone contact is almost impossible. After a very lengthy, boring period of listening to their advertising, I finally left a message in March 21 saying I'd like another pair of reading glasses.

In mid- April! I had a call back from a woman who took all my details again (all were left on my message), then said the same frames may not be available, so she would ask a Dispenser to call me. She even said "Keep your phone with you"! Needless to say, no one called me.

So I wrote a letter to the manager in early May, requesting a call back from a qualified person. Still no response whatsoever.

Goodbye Specsavers, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

The best experience I ever had, best customer service thanks to Asad, he was lovely and very patient with me, I had a hard time finding glassess that I liked but he was there with me the whole time helping me pick out the best frames for me and gave me good advice and provided the best options for me, he is a great ambassador for the store and anyone who is served by him is extremely lucky.

Appointment was at 12.30,50 minutes later had not been seen and all the staff appeared to disappear off for lunch break. No communication or updates as to when I'd be seen. So I walked out. 1hour 20minutes after my original appointment time I receive a phone call saying "they had just called me through for my appointment".

Waste of time.

‏They don't care to sterilize their medical equipment, I did an eye examination but Unfortunately I picked up an infection in the eyes, Tears and sticky fluids Pain and itching, I really regret having responded to their message to get my eyes checked according to their request

The Service was ok getting my eyes tested but to return to get my glasses, there not as attentive to you when you get your new specs, they normally fit the glasses on you and ask how they feel, but because of this Fakery that's going on they don't want to come near you, but isn't it them that have to travel to and from work? There is too much of one nationality working in there is there no equal opportunities anymore, I will not be going there again, this store is for their people's not us.

September 21st 2019, my final day in London before long trip home. I needed new prescription glasses and Mr Ebenezer was so wonderful and helpful. I managed to have my glasses before my long flight back to PNG thank you Ebenezer
