This has to be the worst branch of Specsavers. They do not answer calls.
I am on a direct debit scheme with Specsavers. However, when I called them, they told me im not on their files.they made me ring so many numbers in the end to find out I am on the store scheme all because staff want to get rid of you.
Do you want to have a great customer service experience? If you don't want to be misled, then I would recommend you to avoid the Barking franchise.
Misleading and very unprofessional!
UPDATE: YOU DIDNT EVEN RESPOND OR ACKNOWLEDGE MY ONLINE FORM, PLEASE DONT BRUSH THINGS UNDER THE CARPET

I was in the barking branch on 12th April to order new prescription glasses and was attended to by Fatima who was not only professional but also patient and very helpful. I left the branch a happy customer. Fortunately she was there again on the day I collected my glasses and was as helpful as ever. She is a good representative of Specsavers. -From Abiola A

Don’t understand why they have appointments when you have to wait at least 1 hour to be seen.
This is the 2nd year I have had a snotty assistant TELL me they are too big and will fall off (which they never have) but it was the ATTITUDE yet again that took me back! There is an elderly lady in store at the moment with a complaint about her broken glasses and the man who had seen her was patronising and is now laughing at her in the back of the shop. Shocking!

Specsavers do not care about children's eye health, my son has been coming here for 6 months and has had 3 different prescriptions and advised the wrong frames for his face/eyes.
All specsavers care about is getting there easy money from the NHS.
We went to a eye specialist in Queens hospital and they advised that he has been given the wrong size/ style of glasses and because of this his prescription has been failing because the glasses has not sit right on his face,
We got advised to go to care optics on gale Street dagenham and they were so helpful.
Because we are new to getting glasses for my son we did not even get explained by specsavers that you can purchase one set of frames and just keep changing the lenses,
Again this is just them taking money from the NHS every frames they sell.
Disgusting service, you have basically wasted 6 months of my sons eye growth.

I went to this branch on 7th of November. I'm a NHS patient & the frames I ordered was £40 extra, the staff member who took my ordered said there will be anti glare and lense thinning with this order, I was not asked "would you like lense thinning & blah blah blah" or even how much it would be, I fully recall being told "it's £40 extra to pay for your frames". So I assumed this was something that came with the glasses.
Upon returning home I noticed £95 had been taken from my account, I called that same day and told them what had happened and asked for a refund. I was told a refund would be returned with in a few days. The next day, the staff member who sold me my glasses then called me again trying to talk me into having the extras that I had already made very clear that I did not want.
I was then told again by him, that a refund was being sent to me. It is now over a week later and no refund has been return to me as of yet.
I will take the further trip to the romford branch next time. Communication with customers here is absolutely terrible and secondly its an audacity considering that we're in a cost of living crisis & the staff member is trying to talk me into purchasing something that I had very very clearly said I do not want.
Very unhappy with the service and would just like my refund back & my glasses!

Pathetic experience, I have got a free voucher to get my eye test but staff told me if there will be a change in the eye prescription from last time they would consider voucher otherwise I have to pay £25. Nowhere on their website this information was mentioned and no body told me this when I show up, they only told me just before eye test after making me wait in queue for sometime. I had a very unpleasant experience with Specsavers Ilford as well. Seems this company doesn't invest in customer services. A big NO to Specsavers you lost a customer forever.

I have been a customer of specsavers for 15 years but after my experience this morning I will be cancelling with them. I received an email that my appointment was at 920am and then a text that it was at 930am so I arrived at 925am I wasn't told they were running behind I had to ask and was told they would be running 15 min behind. So I popped out and came back for 940am and I was still kept waiting at 10am at which point I told the staff I was leaving and will be cancelling my service or lack of service with the but before Ileft iI wanted an explanation of how they have fallen so behind when they had only just opened at 9am! While I was waiting I sarcastically commented that they must have triple booked themselves and the staff member came back with that they had 3 appointments booked at 920am and only 2 opticians. This just confirmed that I have made the right decision to take my custom else where.

I had an appointment booked for a first time lenses training. Received a shocking service from a person called Harifa. Her approach to customer is very unprofessional, rude and arrogant. No need to mention training with this kind of attitude didn’t go well. Dear Harifa try to be more professional and pleasant like your colleagues and ask to be re-trained how to use the phone too, as instead of putting me on hold you “accidentally” put the phone down on me.
And do not argue with a customer trying to prove that disconnected call means on hold.
Update: one day after lense training I have a damaged and infected cornea, blurry vision in my right eye. Treating my eye using tetracaine drops to relieve a pain + chloramphenicol eye drops and cream.
Dropped dirty lense was not rinsed, but advised by Harifa to be massaged into my eye when I complained of discomfort after inserting contaminated lense (it fell on my bag which was on the floor). After struggling to remove a lense from my dry eye for a while I was taken to ophthalmologist room who straight away applied eye drops to my dried out eye and removed a lense. Harifa didn’t know that it’s not really possible to remove a lense from a dry eye and how much discomfort it was causing me, instead kept pushing me to remove it. Never offered a clean tissue to wipe my tears I had to use a used paper towel which I used to clean my hands after washing them.
Came to specsavers with a healthy eyes and this is my right eye the next day:

I visited barking store and the lady told me that my vision is +4.00 for my right eye and left eye is +1.25. That reading was totally weird. I have been using -0.50 for so many yeas and then she told me they all are wrong and +4.00 is right for my right eye. It was quite shocking for me because i could see fairly well even without glasses and then +4.00 is quite a high no. And my eyes are never comfortable with + eye glasses i did wore them but felt completely comfortable. I did find the lady rude to me when i further asked her about the difference in + and - eye numbers.
I had my eyes checked somewhere else and they told me that its -0.75 for left and right eye is -1.00. I have been using this prescription and find it perfect for my eyes. I do not recommend specsaver as i had a bad experience and dont find their service quite reliable. Thats what my personal experience was.

I have been customer with specsavers Barking for some time. I went to the store on morning of 16th December 2018 to make an appointment for a later date but the staff lady told me to wait and the optician will see me in a short while.
I waited for one and half hour just to be told by the optician that she can not see me because she is busy with appointments. I explained to her that your staff asked me to wait, I only came to make an appointment.
She was very arrogant and went into her room. She could have told me one and half hour earlier.
Their approach to customers is very unprofessional, rude and arrogant.
I for one will never go back to them.
